Middle East Peace Treaty, East Jerusalem and the Third Temple

“And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.

And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey; and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.

And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. “ (Revelation 10: 8-11 & 11: 1-4)

The amount of attention given to the current attempts to make peace within Israel brings light that another sign is showing that the prophetic time within Scripture is upon us. We are being told by President Trump that the “Deal of the Century” is the negotiation between Israel and Palestine and that this is a top priority within his administration.  We are even having reports leaked that his peace plan will divide the city of Jerusalem as part of this prophetic treaty.

We have heard speculation for years that the world community wanted to make Jerusalem an “International City” under control of the Vatican.  This city would be a place that all three of the major religions (Christianity, Judaism, and Islam) would be able to worship and celebrate the one true God.  This plan has been in motion for a very long time, so long that many have started to doubt its relevance or its ability to become reality.

The current murmuring coming out of the Trump Administration about the Peace Treaty is exactly this. The entire details have not been released, as of yet, but what we do know is that the eastern portion of Jerusalem will be given to the Palestinians and the western portion of the city will be given to Israel. Both nations would use Jerusalem as their capital and this agreement is to be brokered and confirmed by an unknown party.  Considering the plan presented years ago, there is speculation that this third party will be the Vatican.

This is where things get very interesting.  We can see when looking at the city of Jerusalem that the holy sites (Dome of the Rock, Temple Mount) are located in the eastern portion of the city.  This would mean that under the current guides, the most holy sites to the Jewish faith would be controlled by Palestine.  Israel has come out numerous times and illustrated the importance of building their Third Temple on the Temple Mount and there is no way that Israel would allow the Palestinians to control their most holy temple.  Understanding this, we can see that within the peace deal, the Temple Mount must be given to Israel.  But how can this be if the eastern portion of Jerusalem is given to the Palestinian nation?

Time and time again, Scripture is providing the answers to our prophetic questions. According to the book of Revelation, the Temple Mount will be given to Israel but the land around the Temple Mount will be controlled by the Gentiles. Interestingly enough, this fits perfectly with what is being presented within the Peace Agreement! Eastern Jerusalem will be part of the Palestinian state with the Temple Mount being given to Israel.  Add in the modern revelation that the location of the Third Temple would not require the destruction of the Dome of the Rock, we can now see that both of these temples will stand side by side as part of this agreement.

Many are speculating that we are days away from the Peace Treaty being revealed and that would mean that the majority of the world will be awaken to the prophetic developments happening within the Holy Land.  This would mean that within months to a year, we will witness the rebuilding of Solomon’s Temple and the soon fulfillment of the “Abomination that makes Desolate” spoken of by the prophet Daniel.  Without a doubt, we are about to witness the fulfillment of the most significant prophetic event that the world has witnessed since the resurrection of our Savior Jesus Christ!

“When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand): Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day:

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.  (Matthew 24: 15-22)
