Dear Christians, You Need to Take a Deep Look in the Mirror and See If You Can Morally Support What is Happening?

“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ The king will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry, and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” (Matthew 25: 31-46)

We, as a society, have become wicked and vile. Watching what is happening to our world is bringing many to the brink of exhaustion as we watch darkness overtaking everything around us. Blind as many are, they are also able to see the lack of love present within our world.

How can we justify our actions toward one another? We have all become vile and evil, every single one of us. Mankind was born within this sinful world and we are surrounded by sinful actions and now our very essence has become darkened by the wretched stench of our society. Everywhere we look, mankind has sacrificed its morals for some worldly objective. We are willing to overlook our own transgressions to justify our political, economic, racial or sexual stance and degrade those around us for their transgressions. We have lost the ability to look inwardly to determine the state of our own wretched existence and have replaced that with the judgmental, overbearing, society that we praise daily.

How can anyone justify their stance as being a Christian while they support the imprisonment and torture of those seeking refuge? How can we look directly into the eyes of those in need and justify their suffering existence as “karma” or “life choices” while refusing to see the advantages we all have been given? Anyone living on the streets or without hope are no less deserving of freedom and love as those on the top of the economic ladder. The only difference was the situation one was born into and the advantages given to those from prosperous economic situations vs those born into less fortunate situations or locations.

We as Christians must take a deep look at ourselves and see what is really going on in this world. We must see the hypocrisy of our actions and thoughts toward those less fortunate. Anyone who is unwilling to acknowledge their advantages within this world compared to the less fortunate are blind and unwilling to see their evil nature.

The greatest example that can be given toward this hypocrisy is in respect to the treatment of migrants around the world who need our help. How can anyone who claims to be Christian support the treatment of the refugees that are being placed into camps on our southern boarder? How can any Christian support a government that refuses to provide need and refuge to those who have had their entire island destroyed? How can we as Christians stand idle and watch as the homeless population within this great nation rises to astronomical levels while supporting the capitalistic society that has enriched the 1% and left the rest of us behind? How can we say we are Christians when our actions show that we are the complete opposite?

We claim to be the ambassadors for our Lord, yet we refuse to do the exact thing He instructed us to do. Jesus gave us specific instructions on what we must do to be counted in His number. How can we expect to enter eternal salvation when we are compliant with a nation that is doing the exact opposite?

We can make any excuse we want. We can justify our beliefs and actions until we convince the whole world but none of that matters. We as American Christians are failing at the only thing that counts. WE ARE FAILING AT PROVIDING AND TAKING CARE OF OUR FELLOW MAN!!! Without this we are all doomed and will not see the promised land. Without showing compassion to those who have lost everything, we are doomed to lose everything including our soul!

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who doses the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and, in your name, perform many miracles?’ then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you, Away from me, you evildoers!’” (Matthew 7: 21-23)
